Rafting 2008
The following day after Luau, we picked right off where we left the fun. We went rafting. We were all cozied up in our rafts and occasionally we would hit some dips on the level zero rapids. This must sound extremely unexciting. But in fact it was quite the opposite. We would park our rafts on the side and create exciting things for ourselves like throwing rocks in the water and jumping off cliffs. We also had the chance to come across many other rafters who greeted you by pumping you with their water guns. Nothing like a good hello that also gets you wet.
Luau 2008
Gamma Nu held its annual Luau in Discovery Bay. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day. Luau always proves to be consistent fun. Using a simple formula of food + drinks + throwing people into the water seems to work every year. One of our newest brothers, AarondeepBasrai has introduced us to a new chicken marinade that has become quite a favorite with everyone. The chicken is basted in a marsala for 24 hours, and then seared on the grill to produce a tasty delight. The only thing more satisfying than this is the nap that ensues immediately after eating it.
